About Phil Gable

Phil has been working in advertising for 27 years. He began his career at a boutique agency in New York City during the dot-com boom and quickly climbed from copywriter to creative director before moving on to larger national and global agencies including BBDO, Deutsch, and Digitas.

His wide range of brand experience includes Microsoft, Moët Hennessy, NBC, Capital One, J&J, Peloton, and Crunch Fitness, with projects spanning brand voice development, messaging platforms, content strategies, TV campaigns, and guerrilla marketing. His work has been honored by numerous award shows, including TED’s Ads Worth Spreading, the Effie Awards, the National ADDY Awards, and Advertising Age’s Best Ads of the Year.

After years of working as a creative partner to some of the best strategists in the industry, Phil started taking on brand and content strategy roles himself. Today, his most satisfying projects are often the least visible—sitting down with CMOs, CEOs, and founders to help them uncover what makes their brands distinct. That clarity helps define the why behind the what, guiding every expression the brand makes. Now he brings that same discipline to his work with students: helping them define their own values, voices, and points of view so they can present themselves with distinction and confidence.

In 2024, Phil left New York City for Johns Creek, GA, where he volunteers as a soccer coach for the Alpharetta Ambush and a scholarship essay judge for the Mensa Foundation.
